K-On!'s story revolves around 4 high school girls who joined the same club, the Light Music Club. The club was about to be abolished for not having enough members. The club needs 4 members to still remain as a club so, Ritsu Tainaka, Mio Akiyama and Tsumugi Kotobuki joined the club. Since the club needs 4 members to avoid being abolished, they need 1 more member. That's where Yui Hirasawa appears.
The Characters:
Yui Hirasawa
The main character of the story. Yui is a clumsy person.She plays the guitar. She spaces out most of the time. She gets poor grades but if she is properly coached, she can get nice results. She doesn't know how to play any instrument when she joined the Light Music Club but she gets better as she was taught by her fellow members.
Ritsu Tainaka
Ritsu Tainaka is the president of the Light Music Club. She is the drummer of the club. Ritsu is the kind of person who likes to tell jokes. She has a very upbeat personality. She is skilled in brainstorming on how the club is going to earn money. She chose to play the drums because she thinks that it is " cool " but she then admits that she has trouble on playing instruments which involves finger movements such as the guitar, bass and keyboard. She is a childhood friend of Mio.
Mio Akiyama
Mio is the childhood friend of Ritsu. She plays the bass and she is the vocalist of the club. She is the shy type, gets easily embarrassed and incapacitated with fear when when stories about blood, injuries, ghosts, haunted houses, barnacles and other disturbing topics comes up.
Tsumugi Kotobuki
Tsumugi or best know as Mugi is the keyboardist of the club. She is the rich girl and often brings tea and desserts for her fellow members. She helped Yui to have her first guitar. She has a gentle and sweet personality.
K-On! is a very famous anime. It has 13 episodes in the 1st Season and 26 episodes in the 2nd season. K-On! is a very-fun-to-watch anime. I fell in love with it the first time I watched it. I'm still on the 6th episode though but, I will still watch it until I finish the entire 1st and 2nd season.
